LESSONS
My 13-year-old daughter has taken lessons with Ali for close to 2 years now. What an amazing experience it has been. My daughter has grown not only as a rider; she has gained confidence and patience and she is a happier teen. I highly recommend Ali and Liberty Reins for kids and adults! You will learn so much more than how to ride.
OUR MISSION:
We strive to give each student an experience that is unique to their individual needs and goals. Careful thought is put into helping each rider progress not only in their riding skills, but also in other areas such as confidence, assertiveness, independence, and leadership. Most people that have spent time with horses will testify to their ability to help us grow in ways that were never part of our original goal.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Lessons will include all aspects of riding, from fetching the horse to putting it away when we're finished. Our ultimate goal is for the student to gain independence in the skills necessary to safely handle and ride any horse, not just the lesson horse they're familiar with. Students all start by receiving instruction on basic skills that are age and skill-level appropriate. The instuction will cover fetching the horse, grooming, and tacking the horse, ground work, and of course, riding. Additionally, once a quarter (4x/year) we dedicate a lesson to connection and focusing on our relationship with the horse.
BILLING:
Billing is done on a monthly basis and payments are due on the 1st of each month. There is a seven day grace period after which there is a $25 late payment charge. We use a scheduling program that allows you to see your schedule at any time and make cancellations if absolutely necessary. Makeup lessons are issued if 48 hour notice is given, however, the makeups do expire after 60 days. The program allows you to schedule your own makeup based on lesson spot availability.
LESSON OPTIONS
Our lessons fall into the following categories, each with different pricing (see below). If you are unsure what option is best for you, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask. We are happy to discuss it with you! For questions or to book your lesson, call or text us at (971)253-0916 or send an email to libertyreinsllc@gmail.com.

Private Lesson 30 min - $50 (Weekly)
These lessons are for younger clients that may not be able to maintain attention for a full 60-minute lesson. Students all start by receiving instruction on basic skills that are age-appropriate and in line with each individual child's abilities. The instruction will cover fetching the horse, grooming, and tacking (most of this done by the instructor with help from the child as they are able) as well as riding.

Private Lesson 60 min - $70 (Weekly)
These lessons are for any clients that are not able to independently fetch and tack up their horse. Students all start by receiving instruction on basic skills that are age and skill-appropriate. The instruction will cover fetching the horse, grooming, and tacking the horse, ground work, and of course, riding. Additionally, once a quarter (4x/year) we dedicate a lesson where we focus on our relationship with the horse and connection.

Semi-Private 60 min - $60 (Weekly)
These lessons are for those clients that can do most of the tack-up process themselves, but might need a little help here and there. Semi-private lessons are for two people who could either be siblings or could be two clients at about the same skill level that we group together if both parties agree. These clients usually have some experience but are not yet independent.
Group - $60 (Weekly)
These groups consist of clients that are able to fetch their horse and tack up properly on their own. Group size will most likely be 3 or 4 depending on the group. Groups can be created by the clients themselves or we can try to place you in a group. Friend groups or sibling groups are the most common. We prioritize the safety of both horse and rider so all groups must be approved by the instructor.

Trial/Evaluation/Single Lessons - $75 (private), $65 each semi-private (2)
Trial - for those who want to try things out before committing to a regular spot.
Evaluation - for those who need to determine their best fit, such as determining if they can qualify for a group.
Single - for those who just want to stop in from time to time and take a lesson, but not attend regularly.

Every Other Week Lessons
As an option for those unable to commit to a weekly spot, Liberty Reins offers lessons every other week in the same categories as above, but the pricing is $5 more per lesson. The reason for this price difference is that our liability insurance costs increase significantly when we offer biweekly lessons, and the additional charge helps offset that expense.

Barn Bratz
Barn Bratz is a place where humans get to interact with horses by spending time doing all the things that are required for care and maintenance. There's just someting about being around horses that fills our buckets and makes life better.
For some people, just being at the barn and being around horses is enough. For others, they want something to do with the horses while they wait for a lesson spot.

Horsemanship
For those that have been around horses a while, you know that groundwork is foundational to the best riding experience. These lessons take the focus off of riding and allow for the focus to be on communication with the horse. These lessons can be for beginners looking to start their journey with horses (a wonderful place to start), or those with some experience that want to deepen their understanding and relationship with horses from the ground.

Connection
All relationships are based on connection. Our connection lessons focus on building a trusting relationship with the horse and teach how to learn to listen to what they are communicating to us. During these lessons we will incorporate Natural Lifemanship ideas, Masterson Method, and good old experience.
